First Haircut??

Last night I needed to get a haircut! My cousin Lori has been cutting my hair and about a month ago we talked about cutting Morgan's. Neal wasn't too hip on the idea but I just didn't like the way the mulletwas looking!!! However, I never did anything about it. About two weeks ago I realized that I could put two piggies in her hair and that she kept them in longer and her mullet wasn't as bad. I talked to Neal about it yesterday and said, "I'm going to get her bangs trimmed so they are all even" Neal was ok with that. So after my haircut, Morgan sat on my lap and cut Morgan's bangs. They look much better. The crazy mom that I am (according to Lori), made Lori save the little clippings. First, Morgan's hair is red and second, Lori barely cut anything (enough to make them even). So Lori was laughing at me when I said, I need a baggy!! Morgan sat perfectly still too!!! Thanks Lori!

Anything for candy!!!

(Not sure why she looks cross eyed in this picture!)

Prayers Please

The interview went well. I will know either tomorrow or Monday already!!! If it is meant to be, God will provide! Thanks for your prayers and well wishes!!!!

Most of you know I have been looking for another job. I received a phone call on Tuesday afternoon from Grand Haven Public. They have a .45 elementary resource room position open. I have the interview tomorrow at 9:30. I'm excited and nervous! I'll keep you posted! Thanks!

Boomer

It has been quite a long time since we posted about Boomer!!! Boomer will be 3 years old at the end of November. He has been great with Morgan and puts up with a lot or he will go into the bedroom and hide if he gets sick of her. We got Boomer about 3 1/2 years ago from a guy in Mt. Pleasant. Boomer was abused as a very young puppy. I remember driving up to get him. We hadn't seen a picture of him or anything...I said, "I hope he is cute." Neal said, "I hope he isn't dumb!" Looks like I won!! :)

Boomer loves Neal more than me (which at times is ok!) He also is a very jealous dog if Neal is shown affection from me...he thinks he needs to butt in! Lately, when Neal is on the computer, Boomer thinks he needs to help!
As you can tell...Neal is loving it!

Not much new

I figured it has been a little bit since our last post (I don't want to get "mocked" by Kelly...so I'm posting something!) Football practice is officially done!!! It was nice to come home tonight and have supper being made (what a great husband!) It was also nice to be home and together before 8 at night!!! Morgan continues to amaze us! She has such a personality!!! She "talks" nonstop (don't know where she gets that from!!) She is such a bright ray of sunshine on such a cold day! Stay warm this week!!!! BRRRR!

Bald

Well, tonight was Neal's last game. I'm excited to say that I'm not a single mother anymore (well almost! He has films tomorrow and we have varsity on Friday and if they win he will still help with that but he won't be practicing and coming home late!) Every season Neal makes a promise to his players...they go undefeated, they shave his head. In 12 seasons this is the second time that he has had to shave it (with 2 near misses!) Most of you have read how many brownies I have had to make this season too (a record! I took the easy way out tonight...Family Fare!!!!) Neal's team (7th grade Zeeland East) beat Mona Shores 34-0!! So that means...my husband is now bald!!!! Morgan thinks it is pretty interesting and just stares at Dada now! So funny...she evens rubs it!!!!! I'm not quite sure what I think either!!!

Before & After picture (love the sucker in the mouth!!!!)

Great season guys!!!!! We look forward to next season!!!

15 Month Stats

This morning we had Morgan's 15 month check up. We only had to have two shots and Morgan did really well (better than me again!) She is growing like she should. She weighed 21.5 lbs (25th percent-she lost a pound since the last time we went....the dr. didn't say too much about it. They did weigh her 3 times to make sure it was right!!) She also was 30.5 inches long. She has been a little on the crabby side and not sleeping real well at night. I just blamed it on teeth...oh no! Ear infection!!! So we are on meds for that and we have to go back in four weeks to get the second influenza shot and they will check them then. I feel like the worst parent ever!!! Everything else was good!

Lynema Family Hayride

Last night we had our annual Lynema Family Hayride (my mom's side of the family). I think this was probably the tenth year, however, Morgan's first since we didn't make last years. If we counted right there were about 31 of us. We met for supper and then went on the hayride. Morgan was SUPER tired because she didn't take a very good nap. She enjoyed most of it but you could tell she was getting sick of it towards the end. A 1/2 mile from my aunt & uncle's she fell asleep! It didn't last long though!!! Morgan all bundled up!!!!
After the hayride Morgan decided it would better to stay inside with Aunt Sarah. That way she could get rid of some of her clothes and be able to walk again!!!
It was a fun night for a hayride!!!

Only in OC

This morning pulling out of the driveway Neal says "don't look!" I was thinking Morgan had done something...oh no...this is what I saw!!!! It had just walked through our front yard! I'm thinking it would look nicer in my freezer!!! :)

Golden Month Day

Today our little girl turned 15 months old!!! It is so hard for me to imagine when she was little anymore...15 months ago we were calling everyone (right about now) and announcing that she was here. I have been working on her scrapbook and it is hard to remember her being that tiny!!! She is such a blessing!!!

Morgan has been busy learning this month!!!! She has become a "talker" (I really don't know where she would get that from!!!!) She says a ton of words now (or at least it sounds like them!) She has learned the sign for "more". Tonight at supper she signed "more" and pointed to what she wanted!!! I call her my little sponge...she learns something new everyday!!!! We go Monday for her doctor appointment and I'm anxious to see where she is at!!!

We are so blessed to have her in our life! Happy Month Day!
She fell asleep before we got home...so this picture will have to do!

Yummy Supper!

No words needed!!! She did get another bath after this!!! Chicken Alfredo in the hair! YUM!

Mowing with Daddy!

Yesterday was the second time Morgan has been on the low mower. She has never liked it before however now she really enjoys it!!!

Feeding the Ducks!

Yesterday, I decided to take the molded bread from our pantry and bring it to the ducks. I thought this would be fun for Morgan to see the ducks since she is on an animal kick right now. So we headed to Dutch Village! Morgan did really well and enjoyed the ducks. (well for the most part...one of the ducks ripped the bread out of her hands and she didn't like that!) I did have to watch her closely because she thought the bread was for her! YUCK!!!! There was a group of baby ducks and their mother who were very friendly with us (pecking at my toes!)
The naughty duck that ripped the bread out of Morgan's hand!
Feeling much safer in her stroller!!!!
I'm sure we will take many more trips there!

Zeeland-Hamilton 7th Grade Football Game

Last night, we had the Big game of the year...well...kind of! Neal's team had to play my dad's team! Neal was really worried about this game. His team did win 39-0 (yes, I had to make brownies AGAIN!) My mom and I sat on Zeeland's side for the first half and then we walked to Hamilton's side for the second half (keeping peace!)

Morgan was really enjoying the game...since it is going on behind her!

Morgan and Grandpa after the game. Grandpa was in a hurry so this is the best picture we got!

Pumpkin Fest

On Saturday, my mom & I took Morgan to her first Pumpkin Fest Parade (it might have been mine too but supposively I've gone before!) We got to Zeeland about 2, parked the car, found our seats, walked around for a little bit, and got JUNK FOOD!!! We got back to our seats alittle bit before 3 and the parade was by us by 3:15. What a parade!!! It lasted almost a hour!! Morgan loved it!!! She enjoyed all of the animals and people waving at her! She also loved having candy thrown at her!!! What a fun and beautiful day! Thanks Grandma for spending the afternoon with us and for the junk food!!!

Project

Morgan is at an odd size right now and her jeans would always fall down. I had looked for a belt for her with no luck! But then, I saw a paper at Hobby Lobby with belts on them. So, I decided I could make them...I have made four so far and I'm now offering them to others. I have decided to sell them for $3. If you are interested let me know (I can do boys too!!)

Apple Time

Yesterday when I picked Morgan up from Lindsey's she was eating an apple. Not a big deal, right? Well, Morgan & Natalie were both eating it without cutting it into pieces. Morgan has had a few bites of mine before but I haven't ever given her a whole apple! She loved it! She was eating seeds, skin & stem (hope that all comes out alright!) Guess I'm going to need to get some apples in the house!!!!

Happy Anniversary!

Can you believe it? I have been blogging for a whole year! Wow!!! When I started I didn't think I would keep up with it or even stay with it! It has been so much fun being able to write what is going on in our lives (well, mostly Morgan's!) It also has been fun to see how many people blog now!!! I hope you enjoy following our lives (or Morgan's!)

Brownies AGAIN???

You guessed it...I had to make brownies again this week. Neal's team beat West Ottawa 42-0. They even tried to let them score (orders from me so I wouldn't have to make brownies!) No, such LUCK!!! Good job guys!!!

This was the first game that it was actually cold. The wind was awful but it wasn't raining or snowing so we were thankful for that!!! Hopefully we will have good weather for the next three weeks! In our warm car on the way for pizza!!
