Snow Day

I love when the phone rings at 5:30 am to say...go back to bed! Along with the other 400+ schools, OAC had the day off too. You know it is bad when Hope is delayed and Grand Valley is closed! So Morgan and I got to enjoy the day together. Which I think we both needed. Just to stay home and not have to go anywhere. We even got to snuggle in bed (I won't say what time we did get up...Neal did have to get up and go to work today!) He keeps saying he needs to find a job in education so he can get a snow day too (Do I sense a little jealousy???) Neal was already saying last night how "you probably won't have school tomorrow" (in his whiny voice!!!)

This is what I love best...holding a sleeping baby sitting in comfy clothes!

Sled Ride

A few weeks ago (when there was snow), Morgan and I decided to walk to Grandma VZ's house. We have a path through the field so I thought we would try out her new sled that she got for Christmas. She wasn't quite sure if she enjoyed it at first but when we ran on the way back she was giggling and smiling! Her poor little arms just stuck straight out...it was so cute!!! I think we will have to wait a little bit again before we go for a sled ride. It is way too cold and there isn't a lot of snow anymore.

Where's Waldo?

I'm sorry I haven't posted in a week! I guess we have been a little busy over here.

This past weekend we were changing Morgan's diaper and for some reason we decided to cover her with all of her stuffed animals (well most of them anyway!!) She thought it was pretty funny!!!! (even though you can't really tell from the pictures!)

6 Month Dr. Visit

Morgan had a busy morning! I had my yearly check-up (fun!) and Morgan had her check-up! We also had her pictures taken. Neal went with because my blazer is getting new tires. I know why I don't usually take him with me or allow him to go on his own!! (we could have spent way more than what we did!) I love Sears & I love coupons!!!

Everything went well at the Drs. She only needed 2 shots instead of 4 like last time. She weighs 18lbs (exactly), which puts her in the 90th%. Morgan is 25 1/2 inches long which put her at 50% for length. Our only concern was her plugged tear ducts but Dr. Locke said they usually grow out of this by 12 months. She has had only 2 others that had to have surgery. Let's hope we aren't number 3!!!

Here are a few of her pictures!

Hope College????

Hope College is already recruiting Morgan!!!! The Alumni Office at Hope sends out these cute bibs as a 1st Christmas gift. So I thought I better get a picture of it. We better start saving our pennies (more like $100 bills!) if she does decide to go here!

You can't see it very well but it says 20??

6 Months

It is so hard to believe that 6 months ago we didn't even "know" Morgan. I can't believe how quickly the time has gone. She is growing up so much each day. I swear everytime I drop her off in the morning she has changed by the time I pick her up in the afternoon.

She has managed to roll over both ways now (which didn't take long to learn). However, she knows if she cries long enough, mom or dad will just roll her back over.

Last night she fell asleep on the way home (around 6:30) and she woke up a little at 8:30 (I mean opened her eyes, looked around, played with my hair and fell back to sleep!) She just finally woke up at 6 this morning. Grandma is in for it today because I not thinking there will be a nap!

Neal & I have enjoyed every moment of watching Morgan. There are times when we will just stare at her. We feel so blessed to have her and we are thankful everyday for her!

The best!!!!

Mad Dog

Finally...I can post pictures and video again!

The other day Morgan was laying on her changing table and Neal would grab her spit rag and make sounds like a dog. Morgan would just giggle & giggle. Of course I got it on video!!!!! :)

I had to get a picture of Neal too....I wasn't trying to make you sick by moving the camera

Welcome

This is our new site. Hopefully I have better luck with it then the previous one.

I will post pictures soon!

Milestone

Finally!!! Morgan rolled over today from her back to her tummy. Being a teacher, I have really been stressing out that she hasn't rolled over yet. According to my stupid little chart thing, she should have done it by now. However, today she did!!!! :) I will try to get her in action and post it soon!

Go Blue!!!!

For Christmas Morgan got a Michigan jersey from Grandpa & Grandma VZ. So of course with Michigan playing their last game for the year, Morgan had to wear it! And YES, Michigan did win!!!!! Morgan and Daddy! Aren't they cute?

Morgan looking all grown up!

Morgan practicing her cheerleading skills with Grandpa B.

How do you make this thing work? I want to watch something other than football!

New Years Day

For as long as I can remember we have always gone over to my mom's parents on New Year's Night. My aunts, uncles and cousins all come over. There is always TONS of food! A great way to start the new year!!! For at least the past five years we have added bowling to this fun day.
Baby Morgan being loved by her cousin Ben! He better watch out because Morgan is going to get him back!
Morgan and her cousin Andrea
Morgan and her Great Grandma!

What great form, Neal!!!!!

For the record: Neal won the first game...I won the second ("I let you beat"-Neal)
