Little D's Birthday Party

Saturday we were able to celebrate Little D's 4th birthday at Sports Quest in Zeeland. I didn't know what to expect since we had never been there before but we were amazed once we got there. They had a basketball court, inside ball field and batting cages. WOW!!! There were tons of other kids there too! It was a great place to have a birthday party!

Morgan showing Daddy how to dunk the ball!

Daddy showing Morgan!

Trying to hit the ball of the tee! Still needs some work!
Morgan with her new glove she got from Derek! All the kids got a glove! The only problem is Morgan is really favoring her left hand and as you can see tried to put this right handed glove on her right hand!

Swim Lessons

For the past two weeks and the next three, Morgan and I will be in swim lessons! This done at the pool in Zeeland and has been a lot of fun. Morgan enjoys being able to swim in the big pool! She is so brave in the water!
Waiting patiently for Daddy to be ready!
1-2-3...jump!
Blowing bubbles! (blowing the ball!)
One tired little fishy!

Sleeping Beauty

This is how Morgan fell asleep last week a day...I couldn't help but take a picture of her holding her little baby!

Go Blue!

Daddy's #1 Fan

As you are all aware...it is Football season! Neal is almost half way there already! Crazy how quickly this season is going. His team is 2-0 and this past week I had to make brownies for the shut out (that has been the agreement)! This week will be the test as they have Muskegon. So good luck 8th graders!!

Here are a few pictures of Daddy's #1 fan! Go Chix!

What's up at the VanderZwaags?

I know it has been a while since we last posted! Sorry! Also, this post won't have any pictures in it either (I will try to up load some next week! The computer is suppose to go and get fixed soon too so this won't be a problem anymore!!!!)

Labor Day weekend was kind of a blur...I worked Friday-Monday night and Neal worked Friday-Sunday night. So it was a lot of time gone and not really doing anything exciting but you have to do what you have to do! Morgan was able to spend lots of time with both Grandparents so she enjoyed that! Morgan & I spent a lot of time at the campground in Zeeland too! So we did get to enjoy some of the beautiful weather (finally in September!)

With Fall, brings football! We are in the full swing of it! Neal had his first game last night and they won! So that was good (win=happy husband!!)! Tonight Morgan & I are headed to the Zeeland/Hamilton game and then tomorrow we'll do the same! Neal has been scouting so Morgan & I go by ourself! Last week we brought Colton with us! What an adventure! Colton is 4 months old and grea baby however Morgan was having one of her days...I got a taste of two kids....ahhh! We do enjoy the football season but it is also busy!

I have been subbing in the infant program at OAC two days a week and will actually be starting a long term in a week which will bring me to Christmas! So I'm excited to be working and having something everyday! I have enjoyed being home with Morgan a lot too but ready for some structure again!

Morgan...well...she continues to amaze us! She just had her 26 month day this week and we are so proud of everything she continues to learn! She will sing her ABCs (not all letters but she is getting it!) She loves singing or listening to me sing songs! She loves to dance, read books, color and chase Boomer & Baily around! She loves pretending to talk on the phone to her buddy Colton too! We just love her to pieces!! We are seeing more of the "terrible two" sort of behaviors too but we work through them and each day is a learning day (for Mommy & Morgan!)

Yes, Baily...about two weeks ago we decided to help my cousins out and take their puppy (yes, puppy!!) 16 weeks old and full of it! She is a yellow lab/husky mix! It has been an adjustment for all of us. This is a trial and we'll see if she stays with us but Morgan has been learning how to talk to her to "teach" her how to be a good puppy! It is fun to watch Morgan interact with her!

Alright...enough! Have a great rest of the week!

Children's Musuem

Last week Tuesday, Morgan, Kinsey, Courtney and I went to the Children's Musuem in Grand Rapids. I have been there once before but it was like 5 years ago. So a "new" adventure for all of us! Once we finally got there (that is another story) we headed to the "toy" area (that's what Morgan called everything!) I was amazed at how much detail was put into everything there. They thought of it all! We were there for about 2 hours, which was the perfect amount of time for both girls! We had a great day and all four of us were VERY tired when we got home!

Morgan shopping! This area was so cool! Tons of items and a place to scan them! (Yes, everything in her cart is Gluten Free!!)

Courtney showing her skills!

Morgan wanted to show Courtney how to really do it!

What concentration!

The post office...of course Morgan talking on the phone

Fishing but not in Grandpa's boat!

Working at the bank just like Aunt Marcy!

Bubble Fun! After a fun day! Thanks Kinsey & Roo for the great day!

Hudsonville Fair & Swimming

Last week Tuesday, Morgan & I went to the Hudsonville Fair with my grandparents and aunt! I have gone with them the past few years (we took a few years off) but I always have enjoyed this fair! This year was a lot of fun because Morgan is at such a fun age! She loved all the animals! She touched a pigs nose and ears too and started giggling!

After the fair we went swimming at my aunt & uncle's house! It wasn't the warmest in the pool but at least it was sunny! Morgan loved swimming and my aunt was shocked she stay in so long! She is turning into a little fish! She would swim from one end of the pool to the other! The vest & swimmies work so well for her! We are actually signed up for parent-tot swim class that starts in a few weeks! Should be fun! After a long day and no nap this is what happened when she got home! She was standing up next to the couch sleeping but then decided the floor was better!

Ready to Play Football

Last week a day was a REALLY bad day at our house! I was stressed about everything going on and Morgan was just plain naughty!! She ate dog food, ate a crayon and decided she wanted to be a football player! Lets just say...she met Neal outside that night!!!
