Crawling?

For about two weeks Morgan has been doing this. At first I just thought it was the beginning stages of crawling. We called it the worm. She also Army crawls. She has very BAD push-up form that her daddy & grandpa B. will have to work on. She gets on fours and sticks her little booty way up in the air! It is pretty funny!
After reading a parenting magazine they said crawling is any way of moving (up on fours moving arms (the normal way), army crawling, etc.) So I guess we will say that she is crawling!!!! There is no more of just leaving her in the living room and know she'll be there when you get back!!

Priceless

Tonight, Neal was holding Morgan and I was putting comfy clothes on. Neal yelled, I need a rag NOW!! This is what I found!! Of course I had to take a picture!!!!

Happy Easter!

We wish everyone a very happy Easter. We celebrate Jesus rising from the dead and going to Heaven for us!

Our day will be filled with church, Grandpa & Grandma VZ, a nap (hopefully), church, Great Grandpa & Great Grandma Lynema's and then HOME! A busy day!!

This was the second dress that I brought Morgan. The first one was to be made (that didn't happen! I'm not Martha Stewart yet!) Plan B was a dress from Carter's BUT it just wasn't what I was looking for, so that went back! This was more of what I was looking for. Frills & lace!!! What every girl needs!!! Plus she needed a hat...it's a little big!! :)

Kentucky Derby anyone???

Happy Easter!

Neal, Rachel & Morgan (Boomer too!)

Happy Birthday Great, Great Grandma

On Sunday we celebrated Morgan's Great, Great Grandma Burton's 91st birthday!!! We had lunch at my parents' house and then we went to my great grandma's apartment for cake and ice cream. Morgan fell asleep on the way there (a 10 minute drive) and stayed sleeping. Grandma kept peeking to see if she had waken up yet. Neal finally woke her so Grandma could hold her. It was great visiting with Great Grandma. Happy 91st Grandma!!!

This is Sunday

This is Morgan when she was just a week old. It is amazing how quickly time flies!

8 months old

It is so hard to believe that our little girl is 8 months old. Time has flown by so quickly. We were out today and I saw a 1 week old!!!! It is so hard to imagine Morgan that little. Each stage has been so much fun!!! Currently, she is sleeping through the night in her OWN bed, scooting on her knees (hasn't figured our her arms move too!), fighting a cold & double ear infection, laughs for no reason, waves bye-bye and does "so big". We still haven't crawled and we have no teeth yet (later teeth are better...that's what I have been told!) but we are hoping for both to happen soon!!!!

Morgan has brought so much joy to our life. We can't imagine life without her and are so thankful for her each and everyday!!

Hillary & Adam's Wedding

This weekend has been a very busy weekend! My best friend got married! We had rehearsel dinner on Thursday night (with a very yummy meal at Charley's Crab), Friday we got pedicures (my first-Mother's Day is coming (hint!!!)), Saturday was the wedding and today we had brunch at Re's parents. It has been a really busy weekend but a ton of fun!

Adam with all the girls!!!

Re surprised Adam (well all of us!) by singing to him during the wedding!!! It was awesome! Re-you still lied! (Sorry the picture is so far away!)

We did it!!!!

Last night Neal & I set up the crib that we are borrowing from my parents. We got it all together and realized that it is missing the side pieces that holds the sides up. We made it work for the night and hopefully we will get the rest of the pieces tonight. Neal thought it was safe enough and I agreed so we let Morgan sleep her first night in a crib. We have been using the pack-n-play. She also has been waking up between 2:30-4 every night for the past few weeks (maybe months) and I being lazy just picked her up and threw her in bed with us. BUT last night Morgan woke up at 5:30 and I changed her and gave her a bottle and she fell back to sleep until 7:15!!! I actually slept good last night!!!! So hopefully this wasn't a fluke and she is actually going to sleep better. Morgan is currently sleeping in the kitchen and hopefully when my parents get back from their vacation we can start the basement and get her in her OWN room!!!! (Then I can get my closet space back too!!!!)
Playing Peek-a-boo after we had it set up!
Sound to sleep at 6am yet and in her OWN bed!!!!!!!!!!

Being Goofy!

Last night we were trying to pick up and Neal needed his clothes hamper. So I thought it would be fun to put Morgan in it. She thought it was pretty funny!

Busy Day

It has been such a busy day today! We started the day by going to church and then we had a birthday party for my cousin Jake (Happy 11th birthday!)

Then we came home and played for a little while on the floor. Morgan got stuck under the table and I couldn't help but take a picture. She also played with Boomer's bone. I'm telling her "no" and taking a picture (great parenting skills there!) The last picture, just happened when I took her clothes off from church. She was giggling when I was doing it! Not sure why she thinks getting undressed is so funny (I think we are in for it when she gets older!)
Then we had a "surprise" visit. Well it was a surprise that she called. My aunt Karen called and was in the area, so she and her friend Vanessa stopped over. Morgan had fun showing off her "new" skills! Thanks for visiting!
After they lefted, I needed to get some homework done (yes, I'm done now), so I put Morgan in her highchair to eat some crackers and watch her Baby Faith video. As you can tell...I guess she needed a nap!

Fun in a box!!

I couldn't resist putting her in the box! She loved it!!!! Between boxes and her daddy...why do I buy toys??? :)
