Where's the camera

Seriously, I need to start carrying the camera with me at all times! Morgan has been such a ham lately! She will make the silliest faces and do the silliest things and say the silliest things! This morning she woke up at 6 so I went and got her and put her in bed with me (I tend to do this since Neal is up and getting ready and I still want to sleep!) Anyway, I had to get up at 8 and of course she fell back to sleep. So I got ready and left the bedroom. I shut the door a little but enough she could open it yet. All of a sudden it shuts and she is walking down the hallway towards me saying "door, shut, Mama!" So I say to her...Morgan lets hang up the clothes and put Boomer outside. She starts yelling for Boomer...potty...Boomer. So she is still in her nightie (just a t-shirt and diaper) and we head outside. She falls and of course falls into a pile of Boomer Poop! (Neal needs to clean that up!!) We walk to the faucet to rinse it off her hand. So I take her shirt off to dry her hands. Now she is just in a diaper! It just happens that the cows are close to the fence. She starts walking over there and starts talking with them. Cow, doin', Mama Cow, peein', runnin', doin'...you get the idea! I'm laughing...she walks closer and the cows take off running and she is yelling runnin' again! I'm laughing still because if anyone drove past our house today and saw the little hillbilly girl running around the yard...I hope you got a good laugh! I do dress my little girl!! :)

On a side note...she told us last night...poopy! I said right whatever but we'll try...she pooped on the potty!!! YIPPEE!!! I looked at her and said what do you get? M's and two! (That's 2 M&M's) So maybe someday soon she will go potty!! :)

23 months and swimming!!

A month from now we will be celebrating Morgan's birthday! It is so crazy for me to think about it! It feels like yesterday she was a little bug sitting/crouch all up on my chest. My how things have changed!!!!! We love her to pieces and love watching her learn and grow everyday!

This past weekend we spent a night up at cabin in Baldwin. She loved being able to be outside and to hang out with the big kids. It actually felt like a mini vacation because my cousins would take Morgan and play with her (thanks Allison & Andrea!)

This morning we went to set up the pool for the first time and there was a hole in it! So off to Meijers we went! Morgan wasn't too impressed since she was already in her suit! We found a nice little pool at Target (since Meijers didn't have any) and we were back home with water in it! Last year we did this and it was such a waste of time because she would spend 5 minutes in it and be done! Not anymore! Our little girl is going to be a water rat! I can feel it!! She even poured water over her head!!! (Sorry the pictures are blurry!)

Morgan, we love you so much! You are getting so big!! We love when you talk and we love when you sing Jesus Loves Me and This Little Light of Mine! We can't believe that you are going to be 2! We are so proud of you!

Too tired to finish lunch!

New Toy

Morgan got a new toy last week. It is a Little Tykes play set!! She loves it! It has two slides, a door to go in, "deck" and a tunnel! She thinks she is pretty big stuff!!!! Thank you Uncle Garry & Aunt Carla

Big Girl

My big girl had to go and have her ears checked today! They are all better!!!! We also weighed her...28.5 lbs!!! She keeps growing and we are so thankful! She is now at the 75% for her age! So funny to look at her growth chart!!! She is back where she use to be before she was diagnosed with Celiac! Praise God...He is good!

What's going on

Well, Thursday was a busy day! Morgan and I met my para-pros for lunch and then we went and cleaned out my room! It was crazy how much stuff there was in there! It helped that Wini & I cleaned on Wednesday (good thing since I took so much stuff home...we wouldn't have made it!). I left at 5:10...it was bittersweet. I'm thankful for the experience but now I'm wondering what's next! I do know that I'm going to enjoy this week with Morgan before I start back with my homebound students!

This week includes a dr. appointment to check the ears again, "brunch" with an old co-worker, play group at Helder Park, softball games (3 of them!), another interview (Praise God!), birthday celebrations and a trip to Baldwin! Plus, lots of time with Morgan!!!! Should be a fun week!

Let me know if you are interested in going to the play group! They are put on through the ISD and are fun! Hope to see you there!

Enjoy your beautiful weekend!

It's Here....

The last day of school. While most teachers and staff that work at a school are excited for the last day of school...I'm really struggling! This morning I had a hard time getting up because I know what today is. I'm saying good-bye to ten wonderful students (well, most of the time!!) Ten students that I feel I'm just really getting to know! I'm saying good-bye to two amazing para-pros and good-bye to a great staff. While, it's not good-bye forever because you never know what the Lord has in store but good-bye for now. I'm also struggling with the fact that I don't know what is going to happen this fall.

These are words from the John Waller song "While I'm Waiting" For some reason when I hear this song...I have peace!
I’m waiting.
I’m waiting on You, Lord
And I am hopeful I’m waiting on You, Lord
Though it is painful But patiently, I will wait
I will move ahead, bold and confident
Taking every step in obedience While I’m waiting I will serve You
While I’m waiting I will worship
While I’m waiting I will not faint
I’ll be running the race
Even while I wait I’m waiting
I’m waiting on You, Lord
And I am peaceful I’m waiting on You, Lord
Though it’s not easy But faithfully, I will wait
Yes, I will wait I will serve You while I’m waiting
I will worship while I’m waiting
I will serve You while I’m waiting
I will worship while I’m waiting
I will serve You while I’m waiting
I will worship while I’m waiting on You, Lord
Sorry this wasn't a real "fun" post but I just wanted to get it out there!
